CATCH UP
First things first I’m so sorry I haven’t uploaded in forever #shitbloggerproblems ! School has literally swallowed me up and I’m drowning in work, I’m constantly stressed, depressed however still manage to stay well dressed *insert cool face emoji* lol. I’ve finally finished my last french controlled assessment! I’ve got my graphics controlled assessment to finish next and then I have my art exam very very soon
Anyways all I can look forward to is summer, its going to be the best summer ever! I’m going to AMERICA and I’m super excited. I’ve already started saving up, and I just cant wait to indulge in american thrift stores and have 3 burgers a day and stuff myself with jolly ranchers.!
A while ago in about November as my art homework, we had to enter an annual photography competition held by the esrc on the topic of Changing world and It was for 14-18 year olds. I didn’t really put much effort into it really as I just used a photo I took ages ago. In February i received an email saying I hadn’t won however my picture was very highly commended and I had been invited down to London to see the Exhibition.
So on Tuesday 10th March I went down and it was a bit overwhelming to see a picture I had taken in an art gallery. (The Menier Gallery) The other entries were amazing and it really inspired me to take more photos and become better. I received a certificate with my picture on and it was a very memorable day.
This is the image I entered in the Interests and Hobbies category. I called it “Reborn in a New Era” and for me it represented how old clothes which were once loved go to a new home and become loved once again and how vintage clothes are very much in fashion.
It was a great day and all the winner’s photos were incredible! I’m definitely going to enter as many competitions as I can now and hopefully I’ll enter the esrc competition next year.
I probably wont post for another like 9382138 months now so I will apologise in advance! But hopefully I will! I know for sure I’ll be doing a lot more posts one the hell which is GCSEs are over!!
Thanks I hope you enjoyed this rather brief, rather rubbish post.
